DATUK KY MUSTAFA
BOARD OF ADVISORS CHAIRMAN
Datuk KY Mustafa was appointed as the Board of Advisors Chairman of Asia Metropolitan College Kota Kinabalu in 2017.He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and Sociology from University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur in 1974. Upon graduation, he joined the Sabah Chief Minister’s Department as an Executive Officer under the Sabah State Establishment Office.
Throughout his working stints there, he has held several important positions such as the Secretary of Internal Affairs & Research Division and Directors in various divisions.He also served as a Personnel Manager and a Senior Administration Officer in Sabah Gas Sdn Bhd, Kota Kinabalu for 6 years from 1984 to 1990 and KKIPC Sdn Bhd Sabah as Chairman in 1999.
The highlight of his career was his appointment as the Sabah’s State Secretary for 7 years since year 2000. He retired from government service in 2007.
The extensive experience in his illustrious 33 years government service has given him the opportunities to get involved in knowledge development where he has presented numerous paper works related to Human Resource, Information Technology, Integrity and other scopes locally and internationally.
MR SUBRAMANIAM AMAMALAY
BOARD OF ADVISORS MEMBER
Mr Subramanian A/L Amamalay was appointed as an Executive Director of the Company in 2015. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences from Universiti Sains Malaysia. He is also a qualified auditor of the International Register of Certificated Auditors (IRCA) and is certified in Total Quality Management and Strategic Planning.
He is an experienced Senior Manager with over twenty years of experience in the finance and education industry. He has vast experience in leadership roles and human capability development. He has led and managed several large consulting projects for large GLCs and MNCs. He worked in both government and private sectors in various managerial positions.
He worked in MBF Education Group including Taylors and in the Ministry of Social Welfare. He also worked at C Level and has vast experience in Marketing & Sales and General Management.
PROFESSOR DATO’ DR MAHMOOD NAZAR MOHAMED
BOARD OF ADVISORS MEMBER
Professor Dato’ Dr Mahmood Nazar Mohamed obtained his Dip Science (ITM); B.Sc (BioSc) & B.A. (Psy) Point Park University, Pittsburgh; M.A (Psy) Duquesne University, Pittsburgh; and PhD.(Psy) from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). Prior to his present appointment, Professor Mahmood served Universiti Utara Malaysia as Professor, Dean, Director and Deputy Vice Chancellor (DVC Academic Affairs and DVC Development); he also served as Deputy Director-General (Operations) at the National Anti-Drugs Agency; Deputy President (Academic and Student Affairs) at CUCMS; and DVC (Academic and R&D) at AMU.
Over the years of his academic career, Professor Mahmood has conducted several research projects with funding from UNODC, WHO-WPRO, NIDA and a multitude of grants from the Malaysian government, universities, NGOs and the private sector.
He has published 10 books, more than 60 journal articles and presented over 300 papers in national and international meetings. He was the president of Malaysian Psychological Society (PSIMA) for two terms; served in numerous Board of Editors in national and international journals; consultant to over a dozen national and international organizations; MQA program and institutional for more than 10 years.
MS KRISTY NG SZE NEE
CHIEF EXECUTIVE CUM BOARD OF ADVISORS MEMBER
Ms Kristy Ng Sze Nee was appointed as the Chief Executive of Asia Metropolitan College Kota Kinabalu in 2015.
She graduated with a Bachelor of Pharmacy from University of Tasmania, Australia in 2003 and completed her Master of Science (Medical Science) from Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) in 2015.
She is a fully registered pharmacist under the Pharmacy Board of Malaysia since 2004. She began her early career as a pharmacist in government sector where she was trained as an oncology pharmacist specialist. By 2010, she decided to pursue an alternative career in the higher education industry and started initially as a lecturer. She was later promoted to become the Programme Coordinator and eventually the Academic Manager.
As a local Sabahan, she strives to motivate, educate and inspire students in achieving professional goals via affordable higher education opportunities that will enable students to gain knowledge and skills required to shape the future of the community.
